Rodney Hill was appointed Chief Auditor at OMERS in August 2011.As Chief Auditor, Hill provides an independent, objective and constructive assessment of the efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of internal financial and operating controls across the enterprise. His responsibilities include audit, compliance and financial controls. Working in
partnership with our Investment, Pension and Corporate groups to review management practices, processes and information systems, Hill’s focus is on the management of the organization’s exposure to risk and loss. The key priority for Audit Services will continue to be in those areas of the business that can derive the greatest value from the skills and expertise of the Chief Auditor and his team.
After graduating from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1989 with an Honours degree in Accounting with Computing, Hill became an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA-UK) prior to transferring to Toronto in 1992. He attained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and was admitted to partnership at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in 2001. With a considerable range of experience servicing clients in diversified industries, Hill specialized in the audit of public interest entities.
