Mr. Allison is the retired Chairman of the Board and CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Following a 14-year career with Amoco Production Company, Mr. Allison joined Anadarko in 1973 as Vice President of Operations. He was named President and a member of the board of directors in 1976. He was named Chief Executive Officer in 1979 and Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of Anadarko in 1986. In January 2002, Mr. Allison transitioned to the full-time position of Chairman of the Board. From March until December of 2003, he also served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He is a member at large of The University Cancer Foundation Board of Visitors of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also serves as a Director of The Methodist - DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center and the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Kansas. Mr. Allison has served on the FCX board since 2001.
