Robert Balascio, a wireless industry luminary and former executive director of strategic planning at Verizon Wireless, is chairman of the board of directors at Cenoplex.
Having previously served as an advisory board member for the company, Bob brings to the table deep wireless industry experience carved over a quarter-century. He is uniformly known for guiding the highest levels of authority within the mobile industry on all facets of wireless business through finance, sales, marketing and consumer analysis.
In his most recent role at Verizon, he led the integration of insights and dynamic planning processes that served as the basis for executive decision making on corporate strategy, resource allocation and investment framework.
Throughout his career, Bob has been recognized for his ability to build powerful relationships with business partners and customers. He served as president at Bell Atlantic Paging, and as chief information officer at Bell Atlantic Mobile, guiding the company through a period of rapid mobile innovation and several high profile acquisitions that culminated in the landmark GTE and Bell Atlantic merger that created Verizon. Bob started his career as an outside plant engineer at New Jersey Bell, and also held positions in the finance, planning and regulatory departments.
Bob has served on the board of trustees for Daytop New Jersey, a charitable organization that provides comprehensive substance abuse co-occuring treatment and education programs for adolescents, for more than 20 years. He currently holds positions as treasurer, chairman of the finance committee and chairman of the strategic planning committee for Daytop, and he also serves on the board of the Shepherds of Youth as treasurer.
