Richard Pyvis was previously CEO of CLSA following a 27-year career in commercial and investment banking and investment management across Asia, Australia and North America. In 2000, Mr. Pyvis became the Managing Director of CLSA’s direct investments business to manage ARIA, Fudo Capital, MezzAsia, Sunrise Capital, Clean Resources Asia and Pacific
Transportation. Mr. Pyvis presently devotes a substantial amount of time as Chairman overseeing management of Capital Partners funds, in the aggregate representing US$2.6 billion in assets under management, with a particular focus on strategy, detailed investment appraisal and exit management. In addition, Mr. Pyvis sits on numerous company boards across the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Pyvis read Economics (Japanese Studies) at the University of Western Australia and has studied as a fellowship scholar at IMI Switzerland and INSEAD France.
