Raúl Torres is the CEO and co-founder of PLD Space. Born in Elche in 1987, Torres holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alicante and also has studies in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In 2011, he founded PLD Space together with Raúl Verdú. Torres is responsible for the technological
development of PLD Space's MIURA family of launchers and the LINCE manned capsule. He coordinates and manages the different subsystems that make up the vehicles, as well as their integrated stages. In the flight missions, he acts as Launch Director, supervising and leading the demanding procedure.
