Peter M. Joost is a founding shareholder and Director of Revitope, and is an investor across multiple industries and geographies. He was an early investor in mainland China, starting in 1994, and was Founder of Orchid Asia (private equity fund) and a founding partner of Yiheng Capital (public equity fund).
Previously, he was a principal partner
of Richard Rainwater and, earlier in his career, worked in the corporate finance group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. In Healthcare, he has invested in services (investor in the first going private transaction of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1989), medical devices (led a Rainwater-affiliated fund’s investment in NYSE-listed Intermedics, subsequently sold to Sulzer) and, more recently, in biotech (a seed investor in Amygdala and in Cardiogen (recently merged with Audentes Therapeutics).
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and graduated from Stanford University (BAS in Mathematical Sciences and Political Science) and Harvard University (MBA).
