Paul Anthony Murphy served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Europe at DisplayLink Corp. Murphy served as Managing Director and Director of strategic planning & corporate development of Giant Wireless Technology Ltd. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Murphy was highly successful in managing, architecting, implementing
and bringing new technologies to market and turning around businesses. With a proven track record of delivering enterprise achievements to multinational branded mobile, OEM/CEM and consumer electronics companies, his hands-on perspective helped leverage DisplayLink's assets for success. He served as President of Telecommunications Products division at IDT International Ltd. since March 2005. He served as Vice President of ODM Design and Business Development for Flextronics Mobile and Consumer in Hong Kong, he played a crucial role in restructuring the $6billion business, developed a completely new product roadmap and returning it to profitability. He served as President, Founder and Managing Director of iXone Technologies which he established to develop innovative consumer products using patented circular rotating display technologies, with the first successful launch being a unique iPod dock in 2009. Murphy has spent over 18 years working in Hong Kong and China where he served Managing Directorships at a number of consumer electronics companies including IDT Communications, Elite Industrial Holding and Vtech Holdings Ltd. where he grew the newly established Vtech Communications division to become the market leader in the cordless phone business. He served as Executive Director of Giant Wireless Technology Ltd. He also led Vtech's acquisition of Lucent technologies CPE business together with a license agreement to use the AT&T brand on CPE products; resulting in Vtech becoming the world's largest manufacturer of cordless phones. He has developed over 30 "world's-first" products and patented 10 inventions. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering.
