Paul Foeckler is the technical director and project manager at Mendeley Ltd.
Paul Foeckler graduated from the Bauhaus-University of Weimar in September 2006 studying Computer Science / Media System Science. As his final thesis he conceptualised and implemented a new form recommendation engine for movies which he later sold to sledge Ltd., a company working on a UK film council funded project. While consulting sledge Ltd. Paul was working as a freelance web developer for different companies in London.
In 2007 he co-founded Mendeley as the project development lead. Paul is an active researcher and won the best paper award at the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing with his publication "PhoneGuide: Museum Guidance Supported by On-Device Object Recognition on Mobile Phones". He attended various international scientific conferences and is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery.
