Parag earned his PhD. in Mechanical Engineering and Scientific Computing from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. This dual PhD and the surname “D”ixit earned him the title ‘Dcube’ from near and dear ones! He did post-doctoral research at the University of California, San Diego for a couple years, but the love for his motherland and a penchant to
start something of his own brought him back to India.
Currently, he works with MSC Software Corporation as a Senior Software engineer developing new material models and spends his after office hours contributing towards the building of SheepStop. He loves programming especially when the problem is intellectually stimulating and the results visually appealing. He is responsible for the entire web development at SheepStop and a significant contributor to each and every idea that originates at StyleBuds.
During his engineering days, Parag had bagged the most coveted Firodiya Karandak (the kaleidoscope of youth art forms in Pune) as part of the MIT team for his paintings during a live performance. During the summer vacation of 1997, he along with a group of equally enthusiastic friends had founded ‘Designer cards’, a greeting card company as a hobby. They managed to get quite a few eyeballs with their unique "POP-UP" designs. They grew this business further by expanding to their own brand of t-shirts by the name of El-Nino collections. Having fiddled with art and startups right from his childhood, SheepStop is his precious dream!
