Nick Miccarelli is a business leader, public servant, and military veteran with more than 25 years of combined service in military, government, and community roles. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of DELGO Community Transit, where he is responsible for organizational strategy, operational oversight, and long-term planning. In this

role, he leads internal operations, supports service coordination, and works with staff and stakeholders to help ensure reliable and effective transit services for the communities the organization serves.

At DELGO Community Transit, Miccarelli focuses on strengthening organizational structure, improving operational efficiency, and supporting initiatives that enhance service delivery. His work includes overseeing day-to-day management, guiding planning efforts, and supporting partnerships that contribute to the organization’s mission and growth.

Miccarelli has served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard since 1999 and continues to serve as a Staff Sergeant. His military service includes deployments to Kosovo from 2003 to 2004, Iraq in 2006, and Iraq again in 2009 with the 28th Combat Aviation Brigade, where he served as a door gunner on a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. His awards include the Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.

In public service, he was elected in 2008 to represent Pennsylvania’s 162nd Legislative District, where he served on initiatives related to taxation and economic development. In 2012, he was nominated by both major political parties and ran unopposed, receiving a record vote total for the district at that time. He also served as Vice President of the Ridley Park Borough Council and previously worked as Chief of Staff to Representative Ron Raymond, supporting legislative operations and constituent services.

Miccarelli is active in civic and nonprofit work. He founded the Hurricane Katrina Sister Town Project, serves on the Board of the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, and is a member of the Friends of the Senator John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. He is also affiliated with the Freemasons and the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received the John F. Boyer Scholarship.
