Nick is a synthetic chemist and molecular biologist who has completed a PhD in Chemistry and postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Biology at Stanford University. Nick was a Beckman Fellow, a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, a Lieberman Fellow, a Stanford Molecular Imaging Scholars Fellow, and a Younger Fellow. He has
eighteen peer-reviewed publications on topics including palladium catalysis, super-resolution fluorescence imaging, single-molecule DNA detection, and cancer biology, and he holds two US patents. Nick is currently a Research Staff Member at HGST, a Western Digital Company. He founded his first company, Conley Chemical Consulting, in graduate school, and has gone on to found a successful cosmetics company and a dental technology company. He recently licensed a patent for a dental appliance cleansing formula to a major consumer packaged goods company; the product is currently sold nationwide in major retailers.
