Nick is CEO and Founder of NquiringMinds, an award winning Technology Company specialising in the areas of IOT, Security and Data Analytics.
Prior to that Nick spent 10 years in the Mobile Industry. As CTO for WAC (Wholesale Application Community Ltd), he helped set up a $30 million a cross operator industry initiative to create a web
application wholesaling operation. This followed a stint as CTO of OMTP (Open Mobile Terminal Platform Ltd) mobile, where many influential industry initiatives were borne, including the universal charging interface, and trusted environment specifications.
Nick has worked both for and on behalf of Venture Capital. As CTO of the $40 million start-up fastmobile, he helped see this advanced communications company through to successful acquisition by RIM. Before this he was at Motorola’s European Internet division, looking after gaming, messaging and voice recognition platforms.
A broad technologist at heart, earlier industry experience covers, gaming, data warehousing, engineering, oil, publishing and consultancy having held various executive and consultancy positions at Shell, Pearson Group, Dorling Kindersley and Neural Computer Sciences.
A strong advocate of open source, Nick helped set up and is Director of the Webinos Foundation.
Nick has a Degree in Cognitive Science from Nottingham University, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He is an Advisory Board Member for VisionMobile and a Member of TechUKs CTO Council.
