Nicholas Avery is a socially conscious small business owner who grew up in an entrepreneurial environment and expanded on that early life education by attending Bentley University earning a B.S. in Economics and Finance. Nicholas played varsity soccer at Bentley University during his freshmen and sophomore years before stepping away from the pitch
after a series of knee injuries and a desire to move onto his future retail career by accepting a junior internship with May Corporation. Nicholas grew in the retail ranks in May Corporation before it’s merger with Federated Department Stores in 2005. Upon the finalization of the merger, Nicholas had a career fork-in-the-road and took the road less traveled by turning down a large promotion with Federated in NYC and instead moved back to his roots and expand his purchasing and management background by joining an Aerospace distribution company near his hometown of Westfield, Ma. In 2010 fresh off his marriage, Nicholas moved to Cape Cod to achieve of lifelong goal of living in a quiet beach town. There he furthered his management experience by becoming a Product Manager for the largest retail and b2b landscape and contractor material provider on Cape Cod. In 2014, Nicholas started and launched One Flag LLC and continues to operate as CEO all while living in the quiet beach town he always dreamed about.
