Since becoming president of CAN in early 2015, Nate has tirelessly led the charge for Omaha to become a major hub of data science in the US. He has started a peer and mentor network for beginner data scientists, created the Omaha Data Science Academy to educate those needing additional real-world skills to stay relevant in their work, moved CAN
from a traditional consultant to one that teaches companies how to implement sustainable data science. Additionally, because he doesn't like sleep, CAN and his team have started a data-driven software company called Tracker which itself plays in both the Hemp and Manufacturing verticals to help users track ingredients/ bi-products through the entire farm to table chain.
In his free time, (I know right) Nate gives back to his community by leading a 1,000 person cancer fundraiser in Old Market each summer, serves on the Greater Omaha Chamber Board, the ag council, and the Chamber’s new small business council, and loves to spend time with his wife and daughter watching movies.
