Mohit Lad received a Ph.D. from UCLA where he worked on building systems for Internet routing fault diagnosis and security. Mohit built Link-Rank, tool for visualizing routing dynamics. His work on route hijacking led to PHAS, one of the first systems to detect and alert on routing security problems. Mohit spent a year at Nokia building tools for
analyzing the quality of Nokia's mobile services. Since January 2010, Mohit has been involved in Thousand Eyes, a company he co-founded with Ricardo Oliveira.
