Mohammed Farooq has over 17 years of experience in the enterprise software field including 12 years in building early-stage companies and managing technology strategy for multi-billion dollar enterprises. Prior to starting Gravitant, Mohammed spent seven years as CTO for the Texas Health and Human Services agency, a $4 billion IT organization,
assisting in the transformation of business performance and technology architectures and solutions to improve customer service and reduce operations costs. As part of Gravitant Consulting Services, Mohammed has provided technology recommendations and solution options for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, a $54 billion enterprise.
Mohammed previously served as VP of Strategy at Commerce One where he conceptualized and commercialized the industry's first services-oriented architecture platform and supplier relationship management product line in collaboration with SAP.
Before being acquired by Commerce One, Mohammed was part of the core team at Exterprise Inc. as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Mohammed has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Gulbarga University, India. He also has an MS in Industrial Engineering, an MS in Computer Science and an MBA in Corporate Finance and Business Strategy from the University of Oklahoma.
