Mike Ingster is a veteran of the semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) software industries, where he has over 20 years of sales, marketing and design experience.
Ingster currently serves as Vice President of Sales, West North America at Magma Design Automation, where he has been employed since 2000. Magma provides a single
executable capable of RTL-GDSII design, the leading provider of physical synthesis solutions for 0.13 micron and below.
Prior to Magma, Ingster was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Moscape Design, a software company specializing in circuit and noise analysis products. During his stint, he led the efforts to create strategic partnerships with AMD and LSI Logic.
From 1996 to 1998, Ingster was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at DynaChip, a high performance reprogrammable field programmable array (FPGA) company. While at DynaChip, he ported the ECL-based architecture ported to CMOS, and redesigned a family of FPGAs for high performance networking applications.
During the previous 10 years, Ingster held various sales and marketing positions at LSI Logic. His most recent role was as Director of Communications and Western Area Sales from 1993-1995. He also lived in Europe from 1990 – 1993 while he served as Director of Strategic Accounts, with customers including Alcatel, Philips and Siemens. From 1986-1990, he was account manager responsible for sales to Sun Microsystems, where he grew the business from $0 to $75M per year.
Ingster graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor of science degree in engineering and applied sciences.
