Mr. Smith joined Bain Capital Public Equity in 2016. During 2019 and 2020, Mr. Smith was a founding team member of Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, Bain Capital’s technology growth equity business unit, where he was involved in several of the fund’s early software investments before returning to Public Equity. From 2016 to 2019, he was a member of
the Bain Capital Public Equity team where he led coverage of the internet, media and telecom sectors. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Smith was a member of the private equity team at Advent International. Earlier in his career, Mr. Smith was a consultant at Bain & Company.
