Mark Colyar joined Finisar in August 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Colyar was Senior Vice President of Engineering and General Manager of Optium U.S. after joining Optium in 2001. Previously, Mr. Colyar was with the TSD Division of JDS Uniphase where he had a variety of leadership roles including CATV Product Line Manager, Director of Sales and
Marketing, Vice President of Engineering, and Vice President of Operations. Mr. Colyar has extensive experience in design and project engineering with an emphasis on IR detection systems and broadband fiber-optic systems, initially with Systems Engineering Technology International and then as a Section Head for AEL's Fiber Optic Transmitter group. Mr. Colyar graduated from Drexel with a BSEE.
