Lois Baker is a longtime resident of North Carolina with experience in health care services. Over two decades ago, Lois Baker transitioned from caring for humans as a registered nurse to breeding Dachshunds in North Carolina.
In 2003, Ms. Baker established Louie's Dachshunds, a family-run breeding program focused exclusively on raising
purebred Dachshunds. Her approach emphasizes ethical breeding, high quality health standards, and proper socialization, ensuring that each puppy is well prepared for life in its new home. The program includes several Dachshund types, including miniature, wire-haired, smooth coat, and English cream.
Before going into Dachshund breeding, Lois Baker was a registered nurse at Murphy Medical Center. As an infection control practitioner, she was responsible for supervising infection prevention protocols within the hospital. Her role involved monitoring patient and staff safety, implementing health standards, and educating health care workers on best practices to reduce infection risk.
