Lisa joined the investing team at Costanoa in 2013. Prior to Costanoa, Lisa was on the founding team of two startups and has experience in early stage investing in Silicon Valley and Mexico.
In 2008, Lisa was the co-founder and CTO of 3jive, an advertising-supported digital media site where bands could create a profile, stream music and videos
to fans, and earn money through ads. She went on to become the VP of Engineering for Aktana, a venture-backed SaaS company that optimizes the daily activities of large sales organizations using machine learning and predictive analytics. At Aktana she led the engineering team and designed and developed a suite of sales optimization products including territory alignment, data visualization, lead bidding, and smart call planning tools.
In 2011, Lisa created Mexican VC, a seed fund for software startups in Mexico. Over two years, she helped develop the startup community in Mexico and invested in several early stage ventures across the country. Additionally, Lisa mentored startup founders in all growth stages and organized startup weekends and hackspeditions for engineers and developers. Mexican VC is now 500 Startups Mexico City.
Lisa holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Lisa lives in San Francisco and is enthusiastic about modern art and design, running marathons, and supporting women in technology.
