Kumar Shah joined GEF in 2010 as a Vice President for GEF Advisors India, and analyzes growth stage investment opportunities in South Asia. He has extensive industry relationships and has over six years of consulting experience in the financial services, technology and telecommunications industries.
Prior to joining GEF, Mr. Shah was an intern
with the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance groups at Deutsche Bank in 2007, and was also part of Mr. Pai’s investment team at CID Capital. Prior to working at CID, Mr. Shah was a management consultant with Sapient, a Boston based consulting firm, in its New York office for five years. He provided operational and technology guidance to Sapient’s financial services clients in New York and London, and was part of the team that started and grew Sapient’s Bangalore office to over 400 people in five months.
Mr. Shah has a BS in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai, India and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a major in Private Equity.
