He is an entrepreneur with technology and industrial management experience in research, commercialization, and operation in the power utilities and basic industries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
He was an engineer and executive at Westinghouse Electric and Thermo Electron for 20 years, with
increasing leadership positions in engineering and marketing in small and large organizations, notably as president of Thermo Gamma-Metrics, serving the nuclear, coal, cement, and iron industries.
KC Tran is Chairman of Cleantech Iceland of the Federation of Industries. He is a recipient of the Iceland US Cobb Partnership Award for his entrepreneurial leadership in alternative fuel supply.
He received his Master of Science in Management of Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management in Massachusetts and his Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
