Jorge Toro M.D., joined the Company in 1992 upon completing a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital and currently serves as Vice President for Clinical Education and Medical Affairs for the Company’s Clinical Services Division.
Prior to this role, Jorge Toro served as Corporate
Medical Director, Pediatric Critical Care Services, and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at what is now Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward Health, from 1993 to 2004. From 2004 to 2008, Jorge Toro was Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Company’s Pediatrix Division, and served as Vice President and Regional Medical Officer of the Atlantic Region from 2009 to 2014. He also served as Chief Medical Officer for the Company’s Pediatrix Division in 2014.
Jorge Toro is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric critical care (through 2015), and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami Graduate School Of Business.Jorge Toro is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and holds Certified Physician Executive status from the American Association of Physician Leadership (formerly American College of Physician Executives).
