Mr. Shane has expertise in operational and finance issues affecting software companies, financial institutions and insurance carriers as well as tax matters and financial restructuring.
Previously he was a Director at Vision Capital Advisors, LLC where he was in the Research and Investments Group. He also served on the valuation committee and
the risk control committee. He also did underwriting and analysis for TiberiusRe a reinsurer of workers comp claims. Prior to Vision, Mr. Shane was a Managing Director at TIAA-CREF. Over the years some of his responsibilities included Portfolio Manager, Head of Quantitative Trading and Investment Systems Officer. He also was on the Valuation Committee.
Mr. Shane has an S.B. in Mechanical Engineering, an S.M. in Management and a Ph.D. (A.B.D.) in Finance and Economics all from M.I.T.
