As senior vice president and chief technology officer for Ellucian, John Kopcke is responsible for creating and leading the company’s technology vision, strategy, direction, and delivery globally. He has more than thirty-five years of experience developing technology solutions.
Previously, Mr. Kopcke served as executive vice president and
chief technology officer for JDA Software Group, following the company’s merger with RedPrairie. At JDA, he was responsible for the technology that spans the JDA product portfolio, including cloud enablement, JDA Platform, mobility framework, optimization framework, and business intelligence. Mr. Kopcke served as RedPrairie’s chief technology officer and executive vice president of product development and was responsible for all aspects of global product development and quality efforts, as well as customer support. Prior to joining RedPrairie, he was the chief technology officer at Hyperion Solutions before it was acquired by Oracle, where he was recognized as an industry pioneer in developing enterprise performance management solutions. Mr. Kopcke was also senior vice president of business intelligence and performance management at Oracle and served as vice president of research and development at Optio Software. Additionally, he held the position of chief technical officer for both Softlab and Pilot Software.
