Mr. Kannapell provides General Management and Operational leadership for Blackboard's online program management solutions. This includes Blackboard’s range of technology platforms and service capabilities that support online program management for institutional partners.
Prior to Blackboard, he served as EVP of Admissions and Enrollment Services for 2tor, where he managed partnerships with leading universities to deliver higher education degree programs online. His responsibilities included management of a 150 member sales, admissions, and enrollment services organization across four online master’s degree programs including [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] During his tenure, Kannapell launched and scaled new partner programs that maintained brand integrity, built program reputation, and delivered well-qualified candidates, increasing new student enrollment by 67% and revenue by 95%.
Mr. Kannapell brings 20 years of executive leadership experience with proven ability to develop and scale technology-driven partnerships to profitable growth. His experience includes a range of leadership roles where he developed successful partnership and business solutions for leading companies like Harvard Business School Publishing, Google, Liberty Global, ExxonMobil, and HBO.
Mr. Kannapell earned a BS in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
