For more than 24 years, Joe Hede has held executive positions with prominent investment banking organizations. He accepted his first such role as a senior managing director with Wachovia Securities, which he served for five years before taking the same title with Advanced Equities, Inc. After a subsequent dual tenure with Roth Capital Partners and
Paulson Investment Company, Joe Hede co-founded his current venture capital company, Rocket Strategies LLC.
Joe Hede received his BA in business administration from Monmouth College, where he joined the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. As a member, he participated in a number of fundraising initiatives for the American Cancer Society and other outreach organizations. He now supports and raises funds for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, having lost his father to the disease after a long period of illness.
In his free time, Joe Hede enjoys travel and spending time with his three children. He frequently takes his family to their beach house and goes fishing with his son. He believes in the importance of this one-on-one time and fondly remembers the lessons he learned from his own father, who gave him his first business opportunity as a summer employee at GAF Engineering, Inc.
