An active member of the hospitality community for over 30 years, Jo is a member of NACE, ISES and MPI. In addition, Jo represents Graceful Tables as an AIFD Industry Partner. As a member of the National Association of Catering Executives, Jo has served on the National Board of Directors and is currently a trustee of the Foundation of NACE. She was
Caterer of the Year in 1995 and was awarded “Best Catered On-Premise Event” in 1995.
Jo has owned her own catering company, “Creative Cookery”, pioneered off-premise catering for a major corporation, has served the hospitality community as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a linen supplier and currently serves as Vice President for Graceful Tables.
Ms Dermid’s work has been featured in many industry magazines and publications, as well as on TV’s Platinum Weddings. She has spoken and given seminars at The Special Event, Catersource, NACE , AIFD Symposium and in numerous local and state industry conferences. Articles written by Jo can be reviewed in Catering Magazine, Event Solutions, and Michigan’s Meetings and Events magazine.
