Jim Schinella is a founder and CEO of Manilla.com, a company incubated by Hearst Corporation.
Jim was most recently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, leading Manilla’s Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Business Operations teams. Prior to that, Jim was Yahoo’s SVP of Business Development and Partner Management. During Jim’s tenure at Yahoo, he was responsible for the development of Yahoo’s nearly 1B$ Broadband Business Unit combining Yahoo’s online service with the access offerings of cable and wireless providers globally.
He oversaw the first wireless carrier agreements for Yahoo’s mobile business, managed the Yahoo! Search Affiliate business and prior to leaving Yahoo!, the Class-2 advertising exchange, Right Media. Jim has served as head of Sales for SOA Software and VP Strategic Business for AOL and Netscape Communications. Jim began his career in financial and operational roles at Digital Equipment and Hewlett-Packard, prior to joining Netscape to lead their professional services practice.
