Jesse Kimotho is the co-founder and CEO of Medbit. Kenya's leading healthtech company. Jesse works to bring in new partnerships, build new sales channels and grow existing business opportunities. Since it's inception, Jesse has spearheaded Medbit to receive numerous awards including winning Global Minimum’s Innovate Kenya Competition, and
the Nailab/UNFPA I-AM challenge in Nairobi, Kenya. Jesse is a highly energetic, adventurous and enthusiastic individual, with a range of entrepreneurial experience and passion.
His initial work, the Drug Index East Africa's electronic platform (https://drug-index.co.ke/) was the initial building block for Medbit. A similar project, The Drug Index acts as a lexicon - a comprehensive and systematic source of drug information that has been customized to provide healthcare practitioners in the Eastern African region with easy-to-retrieve information on drugs and other related products.
He is also an independent graphic design professional based in New Haven, Connecticut and Nairobi, Kenya. As a UI/UX Designer and Developer, he wears many hats, and is involved in numerous roles such as: managing cross-platform projects, brand consultation, marketing, and idea creation. He is a creative problem solver, carefully combining design and marketing ideas, resulting in well-formulated and implemented design solutions.
