Jay Hershman is the Executive Vice President of Business Development at cred.ai. He previously worked at Karmic Labs as an Executive Vice President of Business Development.
He has a history of spearheading innovation as a business leader through all stages of a corporate lifecycle from start-up through a global Fortune 100 institution. Most
recently, Jay served as Citi Prepaid Sales Head across Europe, Middle East and Africa and was responsible for multi-channel sales, origination, pipeline development, and customer revenue growth.
Jay and his team drove revenue growth by over 150% across 23 new markets for Citi Prepaid. Prior to the Ecount’s acquisition by Citi in 2007, Jay served as VP of Partnership Development at Ecount, the leading provider of electronic payment solutions.
During this time, Jay was instrumental in executing direct strategic account sales and an indirect channel strategy, which included 100+ partners responsible for approximately 40% of company revenue.
Preceding Citi Prepaid Services, Jay was a founding team member of Sapias, Inc. (acquired by Wireless Matrix); Mediabolic (acquired by Rovi - formerly Macrovision); and FortuneCity.com ($125MM IPO). Jay was in mobile before mobile was mobile: his first startup was an original destination site for Palm.
Jay graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Jay used to rock climb, and his sales philosophy reflects his inner golfer: (Caddyshack) "There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball."
