Hanane completed her undergraduate studies in international business at the top business school in Morocco, ISCAE. Upon graduating in 1997, she enrolled in the New York Institute of Technology, where she attained her MBA. Hanane Benkhallouk moved to Dubai, UAE in 2005, where lives today. In 2008, Hanane began working as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum foundation core team after being called about the position by the Executive Office of the ruler of Dubai. In her position with the foundation, Hanane had the opportunity to head the entrepreneurship and innovation programs across the Arab world.

Hanane Benkhallouk has remained in Dubai, UAE, since 2005, where she has had the opportunity to work with some of the leading diversified groups in KSA and UAE. She sits on several advisory boards for a number of SMEs and NGOs, including the Arab Pioneering Women Network, Challenge to Change and the Executive Women and is a frequent speaker at diverse conferences.

Hanane Benkhallouk has received a variety of awards for her work in the UAE over the years. In 2018, she was awarded the prestigious Alleem Woman In Leadership Excellence Award, and received the Woibex’s Excellence Award for Women Leaders in the Middle East in recognition of her work in the business community. Recently, she was a part of the judging panel of the prestigious International Business Excellence Awards.
