Gideon Amir is the founder of Advanced Semiconductor Technology (AST). He is graduate of the Technion in EE, Gideon served as Reliability and later on as a Development Engineer at the elite IDF unit which that has produced many of the leading Israeli Hi-Tech entrepreneurs. After his discharge from the Army, Gideon moved to Silicon Valley and worked
as a Design Manager at AMI in Santa Clara, and later as a VP of Engineering at Universal Semiconductor, a Gate Array company. Gideon published numerous technical articles and holds 7 patents in Semiconductor Design and Technology. He also has an MSEE and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, California.
