Falk Meissner serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Lumileds. Prior to his current position, Dr. Meissner was Vice-President of Strategy at Philips Lumileds – a business group of Royal Philips.
At Lumileds, Dr. Meissner leads the corporate strategy function, M&A and partnership activities, and the development of new business fields and
business models. He brings extensive leadership experience in strategy and operational roles.
Prior to joining Philips Lumileds, Dr. Meissner worked in the semiconductor and high-tech industry with a leading consulting company, McKinsey & Company. Focus areas included corporate and business unit strategy, M&A, product development, operations transformations, and turnarounds.
As a native of Germany, Dr. Meissner holds a Doctorate in Nuclear Physics from the Humboldt University of Berlin. After graduating, he also performed several years of Physics research work in the Nuclear Science Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
