Evan is associate director of strategic communications for the Data Quality Campaign. He works to develop and direct DQC’s editorial and digital media strategy, demonstrating the value of effective data use to improving outcomes for students. Evan manages a staff and consultants working to amplify the power of data in education through
publications, website, video, infographics, blogs, and traditional and social media.
Evan began his career in education advocacy in 2005, working in the communications shop at the Council of Chief State School Officers, a membership organization of the top education officials from across the states.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in drama at the Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in English and American literature at Georgetown University. Evan lives in Washington, DC, and hails from nearby Gaithersburg, Maryland, where his mom is a public elementary school teacher.
