Errol Halperin is a senior partner and co-chair of DLA Piper's Real Estate Capital Markets group and a member of the Global Audit and Financial Committee. He has been advising major clients in general business and the manufacturing industry as well as in the real estate industry and in the real estate investment trust industry for a number of
years.
Mr. Halperin's practice is concentrated in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, international transactions, real estate law and federal income tax law. He has also counseled public and private boards of directors, independent directors of public companies and audit and compensation committees of such boards.
He is currently a director of Elkay Manufacturing Company, one of Chicago's largest privately held corporations and Pangea Properties. Before joining DLA Piper, he was legislation counsel of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the United States Congress and assistant branch chief of the Legislation and Regulations Division of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service.
