Ellen Diamant is Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Skip Hop, Inc. A manufacturer of innovative products for parents, babies & kids sold in over 60 countries worldwide.
In her role as Chief Creative Officer at Skip Hop, Ellen Diamant is the inspirational visionary behind all brand and product innovation—driving design that
consistently delivers against style and superior functionality. Ellen is responsible for shaping new and existing categories as well as overseeing the creative team in developing well-curated products that are in step with the ever-evolving world of parenting.
The co-founder of Skip Hop started the company alongside her husband Michael Diamant in 2003, when Ellen recognized a need for a modern functional diaper bag that also reflected contemporary style. Together, they have built Skip Hop into one of the most globally recognized brands for parents, babies and toddlers. She draws inspiration from her interests in art, design and fashion to forecast and drive category trends, continuously reinventing must-have products for today’s families. Ultimately, Ellen strives to establish Skip Hop as the next generation lifestyle brand for modern parents, offering a fresh point of view on everyday essentials that are functional yet stylish.
Prior to launching Skip Hop, Ellen Diamant worked as a Creative Director in publishing and branding, creating marketing and promotional campaigns for various clients including luxury lifestyle publications such as Cigar Aficionado, Modern Bride and Wine Spectator as well as food & beverage brands such as Remy Cointreau and Chef Daniel Boulud. Ellen, along with Michael, was also an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in both 2010 and 2011.
A lover of food, travel and midcentury modern interior design, Ellen received her BFA in Fine Arts/Graphic Design from Binghamton University. She and Michael live in New York City with their teenage son—the original inspiration for Skip Hop.
