Dr. Lee completed his secondary education at the Raffles Institution, Singapore and medical school at the Medical Faculty of University of Hong Kong. After completing his internship at the General Hospital, Singapore, he taught for one year as an assistant lecturer in physiology, the National University of Singapore.
Thereafter, he worked for
three years at the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, both in London, England. He then moved to UCLA, where, after completing his nephrology fellowship, was successively appointed as the Director of the Dialysis Program, the Director of the Kidney Transplant Program and the Chief of the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Nephrology Program.
He was a nephrology consultant at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and a Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Lee has published extensively in the field of kidney disease, dialysis and transplantation. He is currently serves as AWAK Technologies chief scientist and consultant.
