Don Manifold is the Joint Managing Director of Equity & Advisory, a preeminent South Australian Corporate Advisory firm. Originally from the small South Australian city, Mount Gambier, Don started his career in Adelaide and has worked in London, Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Adelaide in May 2006.
Don Manifold has over thirty years’
professional experience including twenty five years specialising in corporate finance. Don has advised on over 60 completed acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings and IPOs with a combined value in excess of $3 billion and has produced valuation and independent expert’s reports for businesses with a combined value in excess of $25 billion. The founder of Don Manifold Advisory Partners and Managing Director at Equity & Advisory, he has overseen a number of high-profile sales in various industries. From agriculture to IT, his clients trust him to give them all the information they need to make a decision.
When he consults, he blends the lessons he’s learned in the past with the current challenges that a company or organization is facing. Before starting his own firm, he was the Managing Director at EY in South Australia and Northern Territory, as well as the head of the Transactions Authority division. He’s known for his attention to detail, particularly when it comes to valuations and independent expert reports. Having completed more than 50 at a combined total in excess of $25 billion, he’s used to working under pressure. Manifold has built a reputation for being as responsible and fair as he is relentless in extracting the potential out of every contract.
Throughout his career he’s absorbed the nuances of international law and is diligent about informing his clients of the opportunities and challenges of each potential path forward. Don Manifold earned an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelors’ of Economics. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a prestigious organization reserved for the best.
Don Manifold has helped businesses across a range of industries including financial services, professional services, food, agriculture and technology; and has worked in Australia, England and Croatia. He has advised on many of South Australia’s most high profile transactions including the sale of S. Kidman & Co, the sale of Powerhealth, the acquisition of Adelaide Bank and the acquisition of ABB Grain.
