Dean Sproles

Prior to founding Iverson Genetic Diagnostics, Dean Sproles worked for 16 years as a scientist and inventor focused on gene expression technologies. He has private laboratory experience in proteomics, genomics and transcriptomics. In addition to his commercial experience, Dean Sproles has worked as a researcher at the University of Virginia and at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dean Sproles served as a product development consultant at the privately funded Meridian Valley Laboratory in Renton, Washington. He serves as a Director of Advanced Precision Medicine, Inc. He served on the Board of Directors for the Swank MS Foundation. He has served as a Member of the Institute for Systems Biology (“ISB”) Associates Network, the advisory Board for the University of Washington school of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and on the general advisory board for Lake Washington School District. During his tenure as a researcher, he published on the creation and implementation of global standards in transcriptomic research. An alumnus of the Citadel, Dean Sproles graduated magna cum laude in the Honors Program earning a B.S. in Biology.
