David Zona is chief operations officer of Prudential Group Insurance, which produces and distributes a full range of group life, disability, voluntary, and corporate and trust-owned life insurance. This is a business unit of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU). Zona joined Prudential in 2015, with responsibility for the Group Insurance
underwriting, claims and service organizations and is focused on delivering operating metrics, reimagination of core processes and delivering integrated Financial Wellness solutions. Prior to joining Prudential, he served as senior vice president with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company (an Allianz company), where he was accountable for both the personal and commercial lines of business with direct oversight for portfolio management, pricing, predictive modeling and underwriting governance. Previously, Zona held senior leadership positions at Nationwide Insurance, American International Group (AIG) and Esurance. He holds a BSBA from University of Florida, an MS in Insurance/Risk Mgmt from Georgia State University and an MBA from Duke University.
