David Tuckett is a UCL professor who is a psychoanalyst, economist and sociologist and a member of the Council for Global Problem solving. His book, Minding the Markets: An Emotional Finance View of Financial Instability developed the theory of emotional finance, which led subsequently to Conviction Narrative Theory - a theory about the role of
emotion and narrative in decision-making under radical uncertainty. He leads RCUK’s CRUISSE and ESRC”s Re-Building Macroeconomics networks.
