David Soares serves as NETGEAR's General Manager & Senior Vice President, Retail Business Unit, a position that he has held since April 2011. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Sales starting in December 2003. From January 1998 to December 2003, Mr. Soares served NETGEAR first as the U.K. country
manager and later as the managing director of Europe.
Before starting his career at NETGEAR, Mr. Soares worked at Hayes Microcomputer Products, a modem and data communications manufacturer, initiating and developing direct marketing and retail channel relationships. He also assisted with product marketing and created Hayes' first Internet starter kits for retail stores.
