David Mangone began his career on the mortgage research desk at JP Morgan in 2001. After building several trading models, he was recruited to the trading desk where he spent two years structuring and trading agency mortgage backed securities. In 2005, Mr. Mangone was recruited to the trading desk at UBS where he continued to focus on structuring
and trading MBS. In 2008, Mr. Mangone left UBS and joined Clifford Sterling to build an institutional trading platform at Braver Stern. Given his success, Mr. Mangone was recruited to run the mortgage derivatives business at Cantor Fitzgerald in 2010 and quickly built a profitable business. In August 2012, Mr. Mangone joined the Firm to expand the Firm’s focus on wealth management for individual investors. Mr. Mangone traded and structured MBS for three years at JPMorgan, two years at UBS, two years at Braver Stern, and for two years at Cantor Fitzgerald. Mr. Mangone’s responsibilities included risk management for an MBS portfolio, trading both secondary and new issue CMOS (MBS) and structuring of new deals, as well as risk and trade data reporting. During his tenure at Braver Stern and Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Mangone supervised a team of traders. Mr. Mangone spent two years working at an equity hedge fund that primarily traded equity options. Mr. Mangone graduated from Villanova University in 2001 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Finance and Information systems.
