David H. Laidley is Chairman Emeritus of Deloitte LLP (Canada), a professional services firm providing audit, tax, financial advisory and consulting services, where he was a partner from 1975 until his retirement in 2007 specializing in tax and audit services. He served as Chairman of Deloitte LLP (Canada) from 2000 to 2006. Mr. Laidley has been a
director of AIMIA Inc. since 2009, a director of Input Capital Corp. since 2013, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CT Real Estate Investment Trust since 2013, the shares or units of each of which companies are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Laidley had also been a director of the Bank of Canada from 2007 to 2013 and a director of Biovail Corporation from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Laidley was first elected to our Board on December 15, 2008. With more than 40 years of accounting experience dealing with businesses in many industries, Mr. Laidley’s background provides a strong financial foundation for Board deliberations and a keen knowledge of many industry sectors.
