David James has served for over thirty years in senior financial management and operating roles in technology companies ranging from small, high growth private firms to large, established public companies. In the 1980s and early 1990s, he worked at Digital Equipment Corporation, a large computer manufacturer, in corporate and operating finance
roles. David then served as Vice President of Finance for Marcam Corporation, a public provider of enterprise management software. From 1997 to 2003, David was Chief Financial Officer and then Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for IONA Technologies PLC, a public infrastructure software vendor.
In 2005, David founded Swift River Investments, a family private equity firm, with his brothers Tony and Ben James.
In addition to iLevel Solutions, David is also a Director of Allied Wireline Services, Flare Industries, Interfluve, Pro Stim Services, Richey Oilfield Construction, Simms Fishing Products, and Tailwind Strategies, as well as the Trout and Salmon Foundation.
David is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
