Mr. David Gelbaum is the greentech industry's largest private investor who is also known for his efforts as an environmental philanthropist. He has invested over $500million in more than 40 clean-tech and sustainable resource companies through his personal family fund, Quercus Trust. Currently, he holds a position of Chief Executive Officer,
President, and Chairman of the Board at Entech Solar.
From 1989 until 2002, Mr. Gelbaum performed quantitative modeling for stock price returns and derivative securities for TGS Management. Prior to TGS, during 1972 through 1989, he worked at Oakley & Sutton in a similar capacity. Mr. Gelbaum serves on the boards of several public and private companies including Solar Enertech Corp., a manufacturer of photovoltaic solar energy cells. He provides a significant strategic insight from his years of experience in risk and return analysis and a long track record of investment in environmental technology and renewable energy industries as well as experience of serving on various public company boards. Mr. Gelbaum holds a B.A. in mathematics from the University of California, Irvine.
