Mr. David Callan, prior to founding RiverDelta Networks, was founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of XCOM Technologies, a venture backed, facilities-based CLEC focused on the ISP marketplace. Mr. Callan led the company through a period of rapid growth, achieving positive cash flow within 6 months and an annual run-rate in excess of $70M
in 10 months. XCOM is credited with creating the industry's first “softswitch“, a device that controls voice over IP telephone calls. XCOM was sold to Level3 Communications in April '98 in a stock transaction worth more than $400M. Prior to XCOM, Callan was Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Complete Internet Access Company, a regional ISP serving the metro-Boston market, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Survey, a Civil Engineering firm based in Charlestown, MA. Mr. Dave Callan holds a BA from Bowdoin. He is Chief Executive Officer at Benu Networks LLC.
