Darren Thomas was the Vice President of Storage for Micron Technology. He is responsible for overseeing Micron’s solid state storage business that ranges from hard disk drive replacements with solid state drives (SSDs) to enterprise-class storage solutions. Mr. Thomas was appointed to his current position in March 2014.
Mr. Thomas most recently
served as Dell’s Vice President and General Manager. He has more than 33 years of enterprise storage experience, including 10 years with Dell and 15 years with Compaq where he held the position of Vice President and General Manager Multi-Vendor Storage. He also served as President and CEO of Zambeel Inc., a late-stage startup in enterprise storage.
Mr. Thomas earned a bachelor of science in engineering technology, cum laude, from Memphis State University and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force.
